Noel House Every year at this time, Noel House, an emergency shelter for homeless women in Seattle, designs and sells Holiday gift cards. They are appropriate for Hanukkah, Kwanzaa, and Christmas. In addition to the beautiful artwork done by Christine Evans, there is a message inside that says, "As we celebrate this holiday season, please know that thanks to you, a homeless woman has eaten a hot meal and will sleep in a warm bed tonight. This is because a contribution has been made in your name to Noel House, a safe place for homeless women." The back of the card gives the Noel House address and a description of the Noel House program which provides safe overnight shelter, dinner each night and a light breakfast in the morning. They also offer hot showers, hygiene supplies, free clothing, phone and mail service, secure storage and information and referral counseling as well as case management. Cards cost $10/each and will be mailed with your name signed and your return address on the envelope to any persons whom you choose. Send the money to: Noel House, 2301 Second Avenue, Seattle, WA 98121 with a list of names and addresses of the persons to whom you want cards sent. For further information, call Noel House at (206) 441-3210. It is a great way to share a holiday giving season. from Thalia Syracopoulos
